Our History
Boyne House in Slane holds a rich history dating back centuries. Originally built in 1807, our beautifully restored manor retains its old-world charm while seamlessly blending modern amenities to provide our guests with comfort and luxury. Originally named Cillghrian Glebe. The name Cillghrian, sometimes anglicised as Killrian, derives from the word ‘cill’ for church and ‘grian’ which translated as ‘land’ giving the house the simple name ‘church land’. The house retains many of its original features complete with excellent joinery, plasterwork, and chimneypieces.
Family Tree
Boyne House Slane is the newest addition to the Land and Heritage Family which includes nearby Tankardstown House and Brabazon Restaurant (7kms drive) and the even closer Conyngham Arms Hotel which is located directly across the street. All our sibling properties are very close, caring and sharing and working together so if one property is unavailable we are happy to recommend the others as an alternative...
